The powdered donut tradition is on the air and going on the road!

Gary’s heartfelt journey will span the U.S., stopping at NCI designated and aspiring cancer centers, as well as other meaningful locations along the way, starting with a short Southwest leg in the Fall of 2026 and continuing across the country at the beginning of June 2027. At every stop, powdered donuts will be shared, and stories will be collected in a podcast studio in his Airstream® – echoing the spirit of StoryCorps®.

On October 21, 2025, Gary launched the Team Powdered Donut™ podcast to start telling these stories ahead of going on the road. From patients to those who love them, from oncologists to their healthcare teams, and all the love stories in between, Gary’s “mobile love letter” will add to these podcast episodes and capture a sort of virtual living book, “One Story. One Moment. One Donut at a time.”
