“Sprinkling Love… One Donut at a Time.” On October 21, 2014, everything changed. Maureen had taken her last breath, and the future was uncertain. On the 21st of each month for the first year and once a year on 10/21 since 2014, Gary takes #powdereddonuts to special places, a way to turn a day of sadness into a day of joy. The many connections that have resulted from his deliveries have been amazing, and the wheels are in motion to make this an even bigger love crusade. Tour dates and stops for the road trip to be revealed in early 2026.

The Powdered Donut Manifestos™ podcast will be launched on 10/21/25 in anticipation of the tour announcement and will eventually include guests from all the stops on the road trip. Gary’s road trip will take him to all 73 NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers and other special stops along the way, delivering donuts and capturing stories from patients, caregivers, oncologists, researchers, and loved ones, similar to David Isay’s StoryCorps® project… all culminating in a book about the trip to be released later.

Just like the old office “donut club,” Team Powdered Donut has launched its own donut clubs to support the launch of the podcast and road trip, support which will also include a number of corporate and non-profit sponsors to be announced later.
